A utilitarian mechanism reimagined as wearable symbolism, the ZIptie transforms a tool of structure and restriction into a statement piece. Modeled by hand and 3D printed, this project pushed me to explore the boundaries between function, form, and metaphor. Repurposing a common object into a tie challenged my perception of what fashion accessories can be—not just decorative, but provocative. This piece marked a shift in my creative confidence, reinforcing my belief that even the most overlooked items can carry weight when recontextualized through design.
